Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests warmly with an appropriate greeting and make them feel welcome
  • Clean/Prepare tables, fill napkin dispensers, refill condiments, wrap silverware
  • Be Knowledgeable of current menu, specials, discontinued items, etc.
  • Directing guests to tables, presenting menus, making suggestions based on guest input, assisting in selections, communicating orders to the kitchen
  • Delivering food/drink, fulfilling customer needs, removing dishes, replenishing utensils, refilling glasses, cleaning spills
  • Preparing final bill, presenting check to guest, accepting payments, returning change
  • Bussing table after guests leave (some restaurants may have dedicated staff for this task)
  • Perform cleaning tasks as needed or directed by Manager
  • Fill in at other roles as needed
  • Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently as described in

    Employee Handbook

  • Knowledge and application of correct ID checking procedure for alcohol


  • Be ready and willing to assist other servers as needed
  • Keep restrooms clean and stocked with necessary supplies
  • Alert manager when there is a problem


  • Be able to work in standing position for long periods of time
  • Have basic math skills and be able to operate the POS system
  • Be able to lift and manuver trays of food weighing up to 25 pounds
